TEAM VICAR (House for Duty)

We are looking for a new Team Vicar with responsibility for the parishes of Widecombe-in-the-Moor with Postbridge and Leusdon. 


We seek a colleague to work alongside our Team Rector and Team Vicar, taking responsibility for the worship and pastoral care in two stunningly beautiful rural parishes situated within the Dartmoor  National Park in Devon.


This is a part-time post which offers a 4-bedroom vicarage, pleasantly situated in a characterful village. Some of the qualities we would like to see in our priest:


-  Enthusiasm for the Gospel and engaging with people;

-  Keen to integrate into rural community life;

-  Has a heart for young people, and working with our local schools;

-  Adept at enabling others to develop their gifts and explore their calling.

COULD YOU RUN HEDGEHOGS?

St Andrew’s Church are looking for someone to coordinate our Hedgehogs stay and play toddler group on Friday mornings. 


Hedgehogs runs weekly during term-time in St Andrew’s Church Hall.

We need someone to coordinate and deliver these sessions for 0-5 year olds, providing the following:

• Session planning;

• Planning and filling the rotas for helpers (including snack helpers);

• Preparing materials for activities as required;

• Setting up the space for sessions;

• Leading the toddler group sessions;

• Clearing up the space after sessions;

• Managing donations;

• Keeping attendance registers;

• Maintaining risk assessments in conjunction with the Children, Youth & Families

Worker;

• Managing registration forms;

• Regular updates to service users via WhatsApp and Facebook;

• Production of promotional materials for the group and its activities.


We are offering a contract for a self-employed/freelance provider to deliver this service for us, paying £50 for 4 hours per week (term-time).

* There is potential for further hours to be assigned in the future through other Children & Families work in the Ashburton & Moorland Mission Community.
